This hammock is 100% organic cotton, grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and defoliants.

The absence of artificial fertilizers and harsh pesticides protects our precious soils. Together with the alternating cultivation of organic cotton and other plants – also known as crop rotation – thisapproach contributes to the higher storage capacity of the soil and to comparatively low water consumption. Energy consumption is also significantly lower than in the production of conventional cotton.

Climate protection is an essential part of our sustainability strategy. Therefore, we continuously strive to reduce our CO₂ emissions. For the emissions we cannot avoid, we take responsibility by supporting a recognized climate protection project. Our partnership with ClimatePartner enables us to have both our hammock chairs and hammocks from Colombia, as well as our company, certified according to the highest climate protection standards.

There are many ways to attach your spreader bar hammock: between two trees, two walls or two posts. Alternatively, you can mix and match options and hang your spreader bar hammock between a tree and a post, for example. It is also possible to hang it from the ceiling. The only thing that matters is the load-bearing capacity of the elements.

If none of these options are available to you, a hammock stand is a wonderful choice. You can place your stand wherever you like and move it around if necessary.

When attaching your spreader bar hammock, you should pay attention to the ratio of distance and height of the suspension points: The suspension height (y) should be one third of the suspension distance (x). If you increase the distance between the suspension points, you should also increase their height accordingly.

Additionally, make sure that your spreader bar hammock swings freely and does not touch the ground. This will protect it from damage and keep your new hammock beautiful for a long time.

Hammock between two trees

Depending on the size of your hammock, the trees must be at least 3 meters apart and strong enough to bear the weight. In order to mount the hammock between two trees, a rope is looped around the tree trunk and attached to the hammock.

Hammock between two walls

Weight bearing and solid walls are suitable for mounting hammocks. The MultiSpot is especially simple and safe, distributing the weight over four drilled holes.

In a hammock with spreader bars, it is most comfortable when you lie in the lengthwise direction. The spreader bars keep the hammock surface open for maximum relaxation.
